The Boatswains Beach

Your first encounter at the Park will be with the magnificent Green Sea turtles at the Breeding Pond; these turtles are capable of exceeding 600 pounds. The largest turtle currently in the pond is an elderly (possibly ranging over 70 years of age), female turtle who weighs in at 575 pounds!

Get ready to make memories! At the Touch Tanks you are free to hold one of the yearlings and take a photo of this incredible experience.

Make sure to stop by to meet Cassidy at the Caiman Exhibit and check out the Kemp's Ridley, Loggerheads and Hawksbill turtles at the Turtle Tanks.

Relax at Breaker's Lagoon; this swimming pool is the largest in the Cayman Islands and certainly the most unique. Two beautiful waterfalls cascade over mossy rocks that recreate views typical of the cliffs found in Cayman Brac. Change pace at Boatswain's Lagoon and gear up for the snorkeling experience of a lifetime. This lagoon is filled with thousands of colorful marine life and a beautifully created synthetic reef system. Both lagoons have underwater viewing panels that look directly into the shark tank for your chance to come nose to nose with a shark!

At Predator Reef you will meet our fun fleet of sharks and other predatory fish. These predators can be viewed from dry land as well. Make sure you check out feeding times.

Caribbean Bird Aviary is a free-flight aviary home to many birds of the Cayman Islands and the Caribbean. These colorful, tropical and often mischievous birds will fill you with delight and laughter!

Make sure to stop by Shoreline Nursery a reef-like home to juveniles and small adult marine life. The nursery also serves as a safe-haven for individual fish that suffer from disabilities that would prevent them from surviving in the wild. Next to the Aviary is the Iguana Exhibits where you can meet our indigenous Blue and Gray Rock Iguanas.

Hidden at the back of the Park you will find a winding trail that will lead you through Cayman's unique woodlands. Here at the Blue Hole Nature Trail you will find a Butterfly Grove, Mahogany Grove as well as many other highlighted culturally significant trees and shrubs. At the conclusion of the trail you will find yourself looking down into a collapsed cave; famously called the Blue Hole. This cave was once filled with water and attracted locals to come picnic and swim in the clear, blue water. Look out for the old turtle bones left there by campers years ago!

Immerse yourself in the distinct culture and heritage of Cayman on Cayman Street; this narrow graveled pathway will lead you through Boatswain's Beach 'living museum'. Take the time to meet the locals there, hear stories of yesteryear and learn to make traditional arts and crafts.

At the Education Center you can discover all kinds of fun facts and scientific information on the animals here at the Park.
